Services

Nine services. Twelve catalogued tactics. They are not the same list.

The catalogue in Drawer B is the set of tactics we can deploy. This page is the set of services we sell — what we actually do for you, what each produces, and the conditions under which we would advise against buying it.

S.01

Accession mapping

Runs first. Nothing starts before it exists.

Pool the referring domains of the four URLs currently outranking your target page. De-duplicate, subtract yours, and what remains is the accession list — the finite, named set of publications that link to your competitors and not to you.

In most B2B categories this lands between forty and a hundred and twenty domains. That number, not a package tier, determines monthly volume, timeline and cost.

Delivered in the first fortnight as a ranked spreadsheet with an acquisition route per entry. Yours to keep regardless of whether you continue, because you paid for the analysis rather than for our continued possession of it.

Target URL, primary term, read-only Search Console
Lead time
7–10 working days
Output

Never. This is the document the engagement is built on.
S.02

Appraisal & profile repair

Sometimes the correct first quarter is subtraction.

When a site arrives carrying years of previous agency work, we classify what is there before adding to it. Every referring domain categorised, footprints clustered by host, template and outbound pattern, anchor distribution mapped against where it should be.

The output is a removal list, a disavow file and a rebalancing plan. On roughly one engagement in five, our honest recommendation is to acquire nothing in quarter one and clean up instead — an uncomfortable invoice that we send anyway, because acquisition on a damaged profile buys a defended position rather than an improved one.

Audit
Full classification, footprint clustering, anchor mapping
Deliverable
Removal list, disavow file, rebalancing plan
Duration
2–4 weeks; one quarter where remediation is needed
Included in
Every engagement, run before acquisition
Advise against when
Your profile is genuinely clean — we will say so
S.03

Trade publication contribution

Catalogue entry B.04, run properly.

A genuine byline in the publication your buyer's function actually reads. Not generic guest posting — selective placement in titles that were covering your field before anyone approached them.

In B2B the relevant list is wider than most teams expect, because a buying committee of five to eleven people does not share a reading list. Compliance officers, procurement managers and operations leads all have their own trade press, and those titles are frequently far easier to place in than the well-known technology publications while being read by exactly the person who matters.

Output
6–20 catalogued placements per month by tier
Lead time
4–8 weeks, pitch to publication
Threshold
≥1,000 verified organic sessions; topical overlap ≥0.60
Market reference
Guest placements average $220–$609 industry-wide
Advise against when
You cannot supply a credible named author
S.04

Round-up & comparison placement

Catalogue entry B.05. Produces demand, not rankings.

Getting you listed — accurately, and high on the page — in "best tools for", "top alternatives to", integration directories and category round-ups. These are the pages a buying committee opens between recognising a problem and building a shortlist.

Half the work is inclusion; half is correcting listings that describe your product as it was two years ago. The second half is unglamorous and usually the fastest measurable win available.

Audit scope
60–200 round-ups mapped per category
Actions
Inclusion, correction, position improvement, new round-up seeding
Market reference
Paid inclusion typically $350–$750 per round-up
Disclosure
Every paid placement labelled in your sheet
Advise against when
Your product genuinely loses the comparison
S.05

Original data & survey research

Catalogue entries B.01 and B.07.

The highest-yield entry in the catalogue and the one that keeps producing after the spending stops. Where you hold usable data, we mine it. Where you do not, we design and run a panel survey — typically three hundred or more qualified respondents, which is roughly the threshold at which trade press treats a finding as citable rather than promotional.

Qualification matters more than volume. Three hundred verified practitioners beat three thousand from a general panel, and a survey of your own customers is a customer survey, which a careful journalist will treat accordingly.

Cadence
One per quarter on Stacks and Special Collections
Lead time
5–7 weeks from data access to launch
Includes
Survey design or analysis, report page, press kit, pitch list, coverage log
Half-life
Earned links continue accruing 8–14 months
Advise against when
No usable data and no budget for a panel
S.06

Expert commentary sourcing

Catalogue entries B.02 and B.03.

Journalists working to deadline need a quotable specialist. We put your people in front of those requests, brief them, and handle follow-up. Sometimes the output is a link; frequently it is an unlinked mention with your company named as the source.

We log the unlinked ones regardless. Answer engines draw disproportionately on publications they treat as reliable, and being named in that set raises the probability that a model mentions you when asked to compare the category. That effect is real and passes no equity.

The binding constraint is response time. If nobody internally can reply within four hours, this service stops producing.

Output
Typically 2–6 placements per month once established
Lead time
Days, when it lands
Requires
A named internal expert with four-hour capability
Also produces
Unlinked mentions, logged separately
Advise against when
Every statement needs multi-day legal review
S.07

Directory, partner & broken-link recovery

Catalogue entries B.10 and B.12. Cheapest work we do.

Integration partners, association memberships, conferences you have spoken at, customers with case study pages, and dead resources in your category that can be replaced with yours.

Most companies have twenty to fifty of these available and unclaimed. Cost per acquired link is frequently under $50 in staff time, and the counterparty is usually commercially inclined to say yes.

We run it in the first fortnight of every engagement, before anything is purchased — partly because it is free, and partly because it recalibrates the accession list before money is committed.

Output
Typically 20–50 domains in the first quarter
Lead time
1–4 weeks per listing
Cost
Staff time only — no publisher fees
Ongoing
Broken-link recovery runs continuously in the background
Advise against when
Never. You should do this even without us.
S.08

Cataloguing & verification

The habit the agency is named after.

Every placement filed with its live URL, anchor text, surrounding paragraph, do-follow status, the referring page's own organic traffic and the date of first index. Written on publication day into a sheet you can open at any time.

Alongside it, the rejection log: every domain prospected and refused, with a reason code. Roughly seven in ten never reach outreach, and that document describes our standard far better than the delivery report does.

Nothing is invoiced before its record exists and the index check has passed at day 30.

Conservation

Twelve months, weekly, automatic.

Every URL we have ever delivered for you is rechecked weekly for a year. Removals, no-follow flips, de-indexations and 404s are flagged within seven days and replaced at no cost.

Links decay predictably — sites get sold, editors prune archives, publishers migrate platforms and orphan half the back catalogue. A supplier who does not address this has moved a known cost onto you quietly.

One carve-out, and it is fair: breakage you cause by deleting or migrating the page we linked to is not ours to fix.

Rates

Published, because a rate you have to extract is a rate that moves

Engagements run $3,100 to $14,500+ a month depending on which services are in play. The full breakdown and the 2026 market data to calibrate any quote against are both on the front page.
